Families or groups of 3 or 4 adults may select a Quad Car if available. Groups with children ages 2-7 should also explore our Add On Child Seat options.

Enjoy this peaceful pedal through a wide open valley at the base of the towering Wallowa Mountains. With lots of fresh air, and a good possibility of wildlife sightings as the animals head to bead down for the evening this trip is an amazing scenic adventure.
This trip provides a good taste of what Railriding is all about. It’s a nice way to relax for a bit and it’s the perfect length to allow you to fit a Railriding experience into your busy schedule.
Your Adventure Awaits
Your trip begins with an awesome Wallowa River crossing and then you’ll round the bend and head into the valley with an amazing mountain backdrop. Next you’ll venture into an area flanked by dense pine forest. Beyond the forest the rails lead you into wide open pasture land with farm animals and vast open views. Your return trip provides some of the most breathtaking unobstructed views of the majestic Wallowa Mountains around.
Finally, be sure to check out our goodies in our depot after you arrive back to Joseph.

Our Electric Assist
We have had some challenges with our electric assist here and there but we have been and continue to work very hard to keep things running smoothly.
There are a lot of moving parts and sensors that have to work well together, plus it’s electric (boogie woogie woogie) and sometimes things don’t always go as planned.
In the event of a malfunction it is important to know our backup plan to make sure everyone can still have an enjoyable outing
If something happens that prevents your assist from working as it should:
You may need to work with another party during your return trip so that everyone may benefit from the assist.
Your neighbor in line behind you will be able to help you back with their motor. Each car that is functioning properly can assist up to 3 additional Railriders.
How it works
- If you have troubles, don’t struggle, stop where you are and wait for your neighbor to catch up behind you.
- Let them know you are having troubles, the cars have a little green belt in the zipper pocket of the seat. Use this to link your car bumpers together.
The rest works the same as the assist would on a standalone car
- Everyone pedals together to get the cars moving, it takes about 6 to 8 good pedal strokes to get going fast enough
- When the motor starts up everyone can pedal at a gentle relaxed pace and cruise along with the assist. You will repeat this at each remaining crossing.
